Within a short time of being back he was diagnosed with Combat-Related Anxiety Disorder. Like most people in his situation, he went down the medical route and was given medication after medication. Meanwhile, his symptoms only got worse. Dr. Fahey hit rock bottom and was likely to suffer the same fate of many veterans and become another statistic. But he had a friend, a chiropractor, teach him about the principles of chiropractic. He applied those principles to his life and decided to become a chiropractor to help people with their suffering from illnesses, illness or disease. Dr. Fahey overcame his condition and now lives a life full of purpose.
Today Dr. Fahey speaks to various veteran groups around the country about how to overcome their struggles. He has been a featured speaker for the Seeds of Hope Foundation and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). He has been a guest lecturer at Parker University where he taught chiropractic students on various principles of chiropractic. Dr. Fahey has served as an expert panelist for Greater Dallas Young Professionals about several public health concerns. His focus in public service is to help relieve unnecessary human suffering, disease and early death through healthier living.
